Issue: RDP Not connecting from win 10 / win 7/ win 8 after recent windows update.
Error you are facing while connecting through remote desktop
An authentication error has occurred. The function requested is not supported
This could be due to CredSSP encryption oracle remediation.
Solution:
start menu on my work station, searched for "group policy", click 'Edit Group Policy'. Then following Microsoft spec, I set "Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Credentials Delegation" to "Encryption Oracle Remediation" "Enabled" and then "Vulenerable".
After following the above steps remote desktop connection will work.
IMP Note: gpedit.msc (Group Policy Editor) is not included in Windows 10 HOME version. Only possible fix for HOME version users is to upgrade to Windows 10 PRO.
